Anything tastes better with a McDonald's logo on it

This makes me sad.
Even carrots, milk and apple juice tasted better to kids if it was wrapped in the familiar packaging of the Golden Arches.
Every time we drive by a McDonald's with a big 'Playland' sign on the outside, my kids point to it and ask if they can go. My kids are 3 and 4 years old, and they have yet to set foot into a McDonald's restaurant. The power of McDonald's suggestive marketing to children is either genius or evil depending on where you sit on the 'fast food is bad' spectrum. For example, McDonald's sponsors little kids downhill skiing programs where the buses leave from McDonald's and take kids to the ski hill. I was in this Mini-Mac ski program as a kid, and guess what you inevitably ate for breakfast that day? And when the bus drops you off at McDonald's after a long day of skiing, guess what you ate for dinner? All I can hope for is that we teach them to respect the importance of eating healthy foods, and hopefully set their taste buds and palette early in their lives so they actually enjoy and prefer it. Realistically though, I do wonder how much longer we will be able to keep our boys away from McD's?
