Space Jazz and Time Lapse, a Really Nice Ensemble

I'm a pretty big fan of jazz music of all kinds. From Diana Krall, to John Scofield to Pat Metheny to Medeski Martin & Wood etc. jazz music is great mood music for me. Recently Canadian/Alberta jazz musician, Mike Fijal uploaded some of his 'space jazz' videos to Video.ca and they're really awesome. Space jazz is a pretty new term to me, and it probably means different things to different people. I think, and hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but 'space jazz' is much like 'free jazz' which speaks to an unscripted, free-flowing kind of 'improv' jazz. Mike Fijal sounds incredible on the flugelhorn as does Ed Patterson on the guitar synth, and when you mix their version of space jazz with some Canadian time lapse video, you have a mesmerizing combination that screams 'chill out and relax'.
