Video.ca Hits 2,000,000 Video Views

In an almost eerie coincidence, Video.ca reaches the 2-million video view milestone on its 9-month anniversary. We publicly launched Video.ca on January 17, 2007 and we have spent only a few hundred loonies on marketing for the site (more on this in an upcoming post "The ROI of a Good Name" - we experienced a unique problem when trying to advertise Video.ca - our CPC click-through rates were too high).

The growth of Video.ca is almost entirely being fueled by its own community of users and their word of mouth. I think our organic growth strategy is working and I'm confident we can build on this upward growth trend as we listen to our community, roll out more features, more sibling sites, and continue to leverage Video.ca for our existing and upcoming web services in our network.

Congratulations to our amazing community of users on Video.ca! I have had the privilege to connect with some incredibly talented and passionate Canadian artists, musicians, and everyday Canadian folk through Video.ca, and it's both exciting and inspiring to see people using our community to reach out to more Canadians.
